French console table with brass inlay

boulle table topboulle table in container
This ebony veneer and brass inlay table on cabriole legs started life as a card table in the early 19th century. It has since been modified to a console table (one leaf removed). The pattern of inlay on the top is in perfect condition, although some of the brass strips along edges are missing, as are small chips of veneer. Nonethless, this is a striking piece of pleasing shape and style. SOLD
