On the inside cover is a message to pupils about the Caisse des Ecoles with a contribution of two francs a year. “Stop and think, child, that you rub shoulders each day with other children, your little friends, who may not have everything they need at home. Ask your parents to take part in the Caisse des Ecoles and you will be helping in your small way to improve the lot of your less fortunate little friends. Thanks to you they will have clothes, shoes and the least well off will be able to spend a holiday at a school summer camp.”
