Substantial French 19th century bureau, possibly adapted from another piece of Breton furniture. Lovely colour to the fruitwood top which has an ink mark and some scratches. Two slim fillets have been added to two of the mitred corners. Base has been painted in an “Old Grey” chalk paint with a wax finish. Two deep, heavy drawers with iron handles. The right hand side also has an extendable leaf. Fielded panels and decorative apron to the sides and back. 179 cm wide x 75 cm high (65 cm leg clearance) x 77.5 cm deep. SOLD.
