19th century “Byrrh” advertising panel in frame

byrhhThis French metal advertising panel in it’s own wood frame, with “Byrrh” on it too. Byrrh was created in 1886 – a blend of red wine and quinine or tonic water. It was popular as a French apéritif. With its marketing and reputation as a “hygienic drink,” Byrrh sold well in the early twentieth century. SOLD
